My name is Celeste Cabot and Darlin’ Doody Pet Sitting and Walking Services was born from my passion for working with animals. I owned several companion animals growing up and spent several years working in boarding kennels where duties included walking and comforting pet boarders.

My true interest in pet care and welfare began in 1984 when I took on the position of Humane Education Director for the Providence Animal Rescue League. In that role, I was able to secure a grant to build and open a section of the shelter for use specifically for volunteers to socialize with animals in the shelter’s care and to encourage walks in the adjacent fenced-in yard. The rewards to both volunteer and animal were immediately apparent. It was clear that companionship was the key to keeping the animals healthy and hopeful, and increased their chances of adoption.

After a career in client health care management services, I decided I wanted to combine my care for client services with my love of animals. I began working with independent pet sitters as well as formal pet sitting and dog walking companies. 

I quickly discovered pets and owners have very individual routines. All of them love their pets like family. Each have particulars that give them comfort, stimulation, and make them feel loved. I knew right away I wanted to begin a company that provided these services in a very personalized way to make sure they received the best care.
